H1N1 (Swine) Flu Information for the UCF Community

H1N1 Flu

Influenza activity continues to remain higher than expected for this time of year; the novel H1N1 influenza virus, or "swine flu", continues to circulate in the Central Florida community. Nearly 100% of the influenza viruses being detected are novel H1N1 viruses; the average age of H1N1 patients continues to be 20 years. Students can contact Health Services at 407-823-2701 to set up an appointment or if they have questions. They also can visit the Health Services Website.

For more information on the swine flu, visit the Florida Department of Health Website, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Website or the World Health Organization Website. The Florida Department of Health has established a toll-free number 877-352-3581 to provide public health information and updates on the H1N1 flu. The line is staffed from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m seven days a week, and the information is available in English, Spanish, and Creole.
